HOW TO SET IT UP

Setting up an output set is extremely easy. Just connect it to the Universal puzzle controller's terminal via an output relay module (included with every output set). Then, connect the power supply's plug to a socket.

After you set up your Universal puzzle controller, the output set will be activated when players solve the puzzle assigned to the Universal. If you need more than one output set assigned to one puzzle, check the FAQ section below.

Step 1

Connect the LED Lights output set to the Universal puzzle controller using the included output relay module and an Ethernet cable.

Step 2

Connect the output set to a power supply. Then, connect the Universal puzzle controller to a power supply.

Step 3

When the Universal puzzle controller is not solved, the LED light strip is off. Once the puzzle is solved, the LEDs turn on.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do output sets work?

Output sets are activated when the puzzle is solved, that is when the correct sensors are triggered just like it was set on the Universal puzzle controller. Every output set has to be connected to the Universal via Output relay module (included with every Universal puzzle controller and output set at no additional cost).

How many output sets can one puzzle have?

One Universal puzzle controller (managing one puzzle) can have any number of output sets but they all will be activated at once. You can connect them to any port on the Universal. That way you can mix e.g. an electromagnet with LED lights output set to open and light up a hidden passage after the puzzle is solved. If you need more than one output set connected to the same output relay module, all you need to do is screw every wire from the output set's cable to the same green screw terminal (the brown one with another brown in the same clamp, etc.). What is the length of the cable that connects an output set to a puzzle controller?

Each output set is connected to the Universal puzzle controller via an Ethernet cable. We provide 1 m (3.28 ft) cable but you can easily get longer ones 🙂

Can I use my own output set?

Yes, you can! If you have e.g. an electromagnet from somewhere else, you can easily use it with our puzzle controller. All you need is an Output relay module (included with every Universal puzzle controller). Just remember to get an additional power source for the output set, as the Universal puzzle controller does not provide power for output sets.
